How does one connect a 2.5 inch IDE enclosure to a Toshiba 60 gb hard drive from an HP Pavillion dv6000?

I was told this was the one that I needed but there doesn’t appear to be any connection to my hard drive. Is there another attachment necessary?

An enclosure is meant to be used to turn an INTERNAL hard drive into an external one. You must remove the hard drive from your pavillion and insert it into the enclosure (the enclosure usually opens up when you unscrew the chasis bolts. Read your enclosure installation instructions). Once you’ve inserted the hard drive into the enclosure, you will be able to plug the enclosure (via usb) into any computer USB port and get your files on and off the hard drive.
