I use a 200gb IDE hdd in high end system for games. will sata have a noticable increase in performance?

I already own a 200gb IDE hdd. Now i am upgrading my system to a high end one with core 2duo, pciexpress card etc.
My question is will sata boost the performance of my system noticabily or else it can do with ide hdd??

Depending on your machine, you may or may not see a difference. In the aspect of game play, you more than likely won’t see a difference since there usually isn’t much disk loading during the actual game play. However, during load times between levels/maps/chapters, you should see a noticeable gain (assuming you’re using a SATA2 drive). If it’s just a regular SATA drive, you won’t see much difference there, either.
